Saving one Paw at a Time

SPCA of Wyoming County – Saving Lives Together

The SPCA of Wyoming County has had an incredibly busy and rewarding year. In 2024 alone, we found loving forever homes for over 225 dogs and cats. As a small, rural shelter located in Attica, NY, we receive no funding from the county or state. That means we rely entirely on the generosity of our community to continue rescuing and caring for animals in need.

With your support, even more animals can be given a second chance—just like Chase.

Chase was just a 5-month-old puppy living on the streets of Buffalo. He suffered from ringworm and painful skin wounds. But thanks to your donations, we were able to bring him to safety, provide the medication and care he needed, and give him a fresh start. Today, Chase is healthy, neutered, and ready to find the loving home he deserves.

In 2025, we hosted 25 spay/neuter clinics at our shelter and helped over 600 animals. These low-cost clinics provided our community with an affordable way to spay and neuter their pets—an important step in preventing unwanted litters and improving animal welfare.

Thanks to a generous grant from Bailey & Friends, we built a new surgical station right here at our shelter. This addition allows us to continue providing these essential services to our community more effectively.

We also made important upgrades to our dog yard by redoing the entire drainage system. Now, dogs like Chase can enjoy outdoor time in a safe, clean space—helping them heal emotionally and physically during their stay.

We’re not done yet—and we need your help to continue this life-saving work.

Your gift helps us rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome more animals. It brings hope to the hopeless and gives dogs and cats like Chase the future they deserve.
