Let us introduce you the Reese!  BEFORE PUTTING IN AN APPLICATION - PLEASE READ ALL BIO INFO AND ADOPTION PROCESS INFO!

This handsome and playful pup is looking for a new family and is ready for a lifetime of adventures together!  Reese is a 9 month old Shepherd mix.  He is a sweet, loving, curious, playful & energetic boy.  We see Reese being a bit of a "Velcro Dog" - as he really enjoys and is content being right by your side, so he's looking for a human sidekick who will be his partner - someone who will be able to spend a lot of time with him!  Reese is a puppy, he is a high energy dog - so he is looking for a new family who matches that energy level - a couch potato he is not!  Outdoor adventures, camping, hiking, long walks are on his wish list.  Reese does well with other dogs, is respectful to them and enjoys running around & playing together, so we feel that he would love a sibling and would do great with one in a new home - pending a meet and greet. At 9 months old he is just a puppy and has lots to learn yet!  While he has been learning the basic commands, he would greatly benefit from training with a professional with his new adopter, as any puppy would.  A fenced yard will be required for Reese, or a suitable environment with an experienced dog owner with breed experience, and a home with children over the age of 10.

Reese will be be neutered and micro-chipped as part of the adoption package as well as the basic vaccine series, heart-worm tested, de-wormed and flea treated.

ADOPTION PROCESS: If you think you may be the perfect companion for Reese and are interested in adopting - we request that you put in an application online (Click on Fill out an Adoption Interest Application right from this page)  Note that we are only able to process online apps at this time, due to current Covid-19 pandemic and not currently having public open hours at the shelter. (Please don't call the shelter looking to meet him first) All applications will be screened, and then calls made to those we feel may be a good match for him for a phone interview - we are looking to place Reese in a home that is the best fit for him and his personality. The online application MUST be filled out in its entirety, including all 3 references and current vet along with phone numbers or they will not be processed.  (Only 1 reference can be a relative please, and no references that are living in the same home)  An adoption coordinator will be in touch with you for a phone interview if we feel the applicant/home would be a good match.  We will then set up a time to schedule a meet and greet for those candidates to meet him.  Please be patient with us during this process, it may take a few days to process apps and get calls made as we are short staffed during this time.  We thank you in advance for your understanding!
